Horse riding lovers do know what a pleasure is to ride on horseback and admire breath-taking landscapes. In the Podkarpackie Voivodeship one finds several dozen studs and horse riding centres. Not to mention that numerous agritourism farms attract potential tourists with horse-riding centres. Hilly or mountainous terrains account for the best conditions for horse riding therefore, the Bieszczady and the Beskid Niski are the perfect places to practise this kind of sport and leisure. Various horse-riding centres offer not only the horse-riding courses under professionals’ tutelage, but also various trips and horseback tours for advanced learners.

Additionally, one can choose among britzska rides, sleigh rides and skiring during the winter. In most cases the owners of the horse-riding centres have qualifications of a mount-tour riding leader of PTTK (Polish Tourist Country-lovers Society), and enable tourist to obtain the mount-tour riding badge. Beskid Niski is famous for horseback tours that are held during the autumn and spring every year. In the Podkarpackie Voivodeship one can participate in a number of events known only from films about the Wild West. For example tourists can lasso animals, break in a horse or drive cattle. Altogether the horse riding trails on the territory of the Beskidzki National Park account for 142 km. They wend their way through the mountain ridges and passes and lead to rivers and springs. Following the trails one can admire the beauty and advantages of the natural landscape park. The horse riding clubs of northern and central part of the voivodeship attract tourist with their rich and interesting offers. The most famous and well-known studs are those in Julin, Kalników, Stubno, Charzewice or in Zabajka which not only offer to teach how to ride a horse but offer as well horseback trip and tours, britzska rides, horse-riding camps, sleigh rides in winter as well as hypotherapy classes.
